left early this morning for a daytrip to indianapolis in.. indiana is the state immediately next to illinois to the east.. i didnt notice anything different in the landscape after crossing the stateline.. more cornfields as usual.. except the freeway is smoother.. and the maximum speed is 5mph higher than in il.. max speed in il freeway is 65mph

the trip to the museum includes a track tour.. in the picture is the control tower beside the spectator area.. the concrete divider in the track separates the pit stop from the tracks








the brick area marks the finish line.. when the track was first constructed in 1909 the entire track was made of bricks.. that is why it used to be called the brickyard
