.. and three quarters more to go.. how often do you see this kind of sign.. took this picture somewhere along il interstate 72 halfway between springfield and jacksonville on mile 78.. on my way back home from a trip to hannibal, mo.. this marker is in reference to its position relative to greenwich in england which is 0degrees longtitude.. we passed through some parts of greenwich during a trip from london to dover in 99.. aside for being known for greenwich mean time, i learned from our tourist guide pointing to a spot in the middle of the fields where she said bodies of killed soldiers in some war (ww2?) were piled on top of each other.. it should be part of my future journeys to see the markers halfway and 3/4 of the way across the globe
