st. nicholas apartments.. my apartment during my first month in springfield.. located on n 4th and e jefferson streets.. the main building is the brown building on the left.. smaller white building on the right side is the annex.. i stayed in room 510 of the annex.. my apartment unit rear window is facing the backside of the building, looking out on union square park.. across it is the springfield station of amtrak (my access to st. louis, mo and chicago, il)

the current location of bureau of application development and management of illinois state police.. the bureau occupies the fourth floor.. location is s 6th and e ash streets.. about 1.5 miles south of downtown.. bus number 1 brings me here every morning.. sometimes i take bus number 10 but i have to walk one block to get here.. in case i miss the bus, the weather is good and i am willing to walk from downtown it takes me 25 to 30 minute to reach the building.. the building does not have a cafeteria.. only lunch room with a 2 microwave ovens, 2 refs, 3 coffee machines, a coke vendo machine, a pepsi vendo machine and a snack vendo machine.. this is the second of two pictures here in this entry taken outside the downtown area
