monticello il is about an hour away from springfield going east.. it is where allerton park is.. to enter the park you have to pass through thick woods coming from the corn fields.. once inside youll find yourself in a place different from central il plains that looks like a french countryside chateau








20minutes into the road from springfield il i hit the town of illiopolis il.. the town in il wich to me has the coolest sounding name.. its like a combo of illinois and an ancient greek city.. despite its metropolitan name its actually a farming community.. a close second to coolness is mechanicsburg il








allerton park.. it is considred to be one of il 7 wonders
