episcopalian.. distance from my apartment: less than 20 paces.. sits on the same block where my apartment is on.. but facing the opposite side.. separated only by a narrow alley.. looks like an english countryside church to me.. this church owns my apartment.. some of its old furnitures are kept in the basement of the apartment.. beside it is hoogland center for the arts (not in the picture).. it is one of springfield's live performance theater
lutheran.. distance from my apartment: less than 1 block to the east.. its bells sometimes serve as my alarm clock
presbyterian.. distance from my apartment: less than 1 block to the north.. asset to springfield because this is where the lincoln family used to attend service.. open to tourists who like to view the lincoln pew.. i went inside once to check out the service intended for darfur war victims.. it featured some u2 songs.. i left in the middle though, they didn't pick the u2 songs that i like.. gray building to its right is the state court house (not visible)
